I was responsible for design of all electronic equipment. From circuit level components to programming of micro-controllers. I assisted in the design of complete units. Using Solid Works I draughted the idea into a 3D model. Designed the electronic boards to be used inside unit. Communicated with external companies to ensure successful build of complete unit. Responsible for costing and bill of materials for the unit. Created training documents, "How To" documents, and installation manuals for unit. Trained the field technicians across the country on correct installation methods. Designed product specific cables. Sourced goods from all over the world for different projects. Worked with several different software packages. Dealt with clients, suppliers, project managers, directors etc. Did field tests to check system compliancy and try solve more complex problems in field.
Worked in Maintenance department on projects. Implemented system checks using proximity sensors and advanced camera's in the production line. Exposed to all technologies in workshop including, but not limited to: Siemens S7 PLC's, Scada development, Kuka robots, Laser welding machines and spot welders etc.
First practical training for my Electronic Engineering Diploma. I became project coordinator and also worked with the R&D(research & design team). Built and designed embedded systems using Java, C, Visual Basic. Assisted Product Designer in building 3-dimensional structures in Solidworks 8. This would later be sent to our manufacturing team to build the parts.

I designed business cards, Flyers as well as a booklet called "Onze Poskoetz". It was an 8 page full colour document that we distributed to the local community for free. We would advertise the surrounding shops and businesses. Made use of the printing company situated below us. I needed to liaise between Customer, managers and printers.
Did 18 months practical necessary for me to obtain my national N6 Diploma. I installed, repaired, maintained & programmed two-way radio equipment on a component scale. I dealt face-to-face with customers. I helped install and maintain repeaters on rural mountains as well as local suburbs.
